Except for this day. Not one word.
And it was hot. And humid. Not just normal summer hot, but crazy-hot. Cut-air-with-a-machete, bring-an-extra-shirt, super-sizzle-sweat-city-hot...you get the idea. Everyone knew it, but no one cared. They danced, they sang, they marched around the barn. Everyone had a blast, including us.

A few weeks prior to Scott and Sara's wedding, we met at their home where the reception would take place. An hour and half (and a few glasses of wine) passed before any mention of photos. We sat in the sun and talked about Scott's art, the best burger in town, traveling, Omaha, this and that. It was a good night.
The wedding was a weekend affair. The ceremony took place on Saturday at Mark's in Dundee and the reception the following day at their home. It was an intimate weekend filled with family, friends, warm sun, great food, laughs, smiles and hugs. We are so happy that we get to tell this story. We hope our photos do justice to this beautiful weekend. Thanks to Candace at Lovestru.ck and the Grey Plume for creating a beautiful backyard reception!
